What is a body oil candle?
A body oil candle is a luxury candle made with skin-safe botanical oils. When you burn it, the wax melts into warm body oil you can apply directly to your skin. Nylrak body oil candles contain jojoba, maracuja, and prickly pear oil in a coconut-soy wax base.
How do I use a body oil candle?
Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. On your first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar before you extinguish it. This takes about 2 to 3 hours and prevents tunneling on every future burn. When you are ready to apply the oil, extinguish the flame and let the pool cool until it feels comfortable to the touch. Pour a small amount into your palms and apply to your skin. It absorbs without greasiness.
Is the oil safe to use on skin?
Yes. Nylrak body oil candles are formulated with skin-safe botanical oils and IFRA-compliant, phthalate-free fragrance. The formulas are vegan and free from parabens, paraffin, and synthetic fillers. Never apply the oil while it is still hot.
Do any scents contain nut allergens?
Heads up: Butters and Melrose contain an almond fragrance note. If you have a tree nut allergy, please check with your healthcare provider before use. Cabana Boy, Siesta, and Sunset do not contain almond notes.
How long does a candle last?
Each candle burns for approximately 40 to 50 hours. Burn time depends on wick condition, draft exposure, and burn session length. Trimming the wick before each burn extends the life of the candle.
What sizes are available?
Nylrak body oil candles come in 9oz and 14oz.
Are the candles vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Every Nylrak product is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. No animal-derived ingredients. No animal testing at any point in the supply chain.
What wax do you use?
A coconut-soy wax blend, sourced from General Wax and Candle Co. in North Hollywood, California. It burns clean and produces minimal soot compared to paraffin wax.
What botanical oils are in the candle?
Jojoba, maracuja (passionfruit), and prickly pear. These are premium skincare-grade oils known for their absorption and moisturizing properties.
